You can make an appointment by calling us, at our front desk, or through our Patiëntenportaal (an online environment). To make appoinments online, you have to register at Patiëntenportaal.
Appointment with the doctor, POH or doctor’s assistant
You can call on business days to make an appointment, preferably in the morning. For simple questions, you can also ask them via an eConsult in Patiëntenportaal.
When making an appointment, the assistant will ask about the reason of your visit. She has completed an education, and is trained to make an accurate assessment about the nature and urgency of your situation. The assistant (like the doctor) is obligated by law to treat any information that you provide confidentially.
To make an appointment with a POH, you will have to visit one of our doctors for evaluation first. After your first visit with the POH, you will be able to make appointments by phone or at our front desk via the assistant.
Do I even have to see the doctor?
For small things, you will often be able to see the assistant! You can call us for an appointment with the assistant for the following things:
- Measuring blood pressure
- The treatment of warts
- Dressing wounds
- Clearing out ears
- Removing stitches
- Pregnancy tests
- Testing urine for infection
- Blood sugar and iron
- Pap smears
- Audiograms (testing your hearing)
- Placing injections
A regular visit to the doctor lasts 10 minutes. Do you have more than one question? Please say so when making your appointment, so we can provide you with enough time.
For simple questions, you can use ask our doctor to call you back. This provides the advantage of not having to come in to see the doctor. You can call the assistant to ask for this from 8:30 until 10:30. The assistant will ask you what your question is, to evaluate whether it can be answered, or if the doctor needs to see you after all. In this case, the assistant will plan an appointment with you.
Are you unable to visit our practice? Up until 11:00, you can ask for a home visit. The assistant (who might consult with the doctor) will see whether a home visit is necessary.
